11 a.m. worship: “All Souls Sunday.” Rev. Henley and the Deacons will be offering a celebratory memorial service grounded in the Philippine and Mexican “Day of the Dead” spiritual theme. Communion will be modeled after the communion of the Universalist Church of the Philippines.

7:30 p.m. Dupont Circle Citizens Association meeting. The featured speaker is Michael Kahn, Artistic Director of The Shakespeare Theatre Company.

11 a.m. worship: “The Life We Are Called to Live,” Rev. Henley preaching. Paul commends his fellow Christians to continue to live the kind of life that is exemplary as Christians and tells them they will be blessed with love.

Sunday, November 18
11 a.m. worship: Unitarian Universalist seminarian Kristen Grassel will be preaching on reframing and reinterpreting Biblical images for today. Toward the end of the book of Isaiah, the prophet's original message is reinterpreted in light of the recent hardships and suffering of the people Israel. We as a faith, a nation, and a global community are being called by God to reinterpret old prophecy.

11 a.m. worship: “After Thanksgiving, What Do You Do With the Leftovers,” Rev. Henley preaching. There are all kinds of leftovers after family gatherings, especially those during the significant end-of-the-year holidays.
