6:00 Vespers "Pray for Peace"

8:00 p.m., at UNMC Marina V. concert and CD signing.

Sunday July 6
10:30 a.m. worship: Rev. Henley will be preaching a homily, “Love God, Love Each Other.” Since becoming your minister, I have discovered more about Universalism than I ever learned in seminary. I’ll share some of my thoughts about the all-encompassing love I am learning about.

Capital Fringe Festival with UNMC as one of the venues ("Universe")

Sunday, July 13
9:30 a.m. A Christian Course in Miracles taught by William Spruiell. 2nd floor study.

10:30 a.m. worship: Rev. Henley will preach on “Sex, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.” The cultural views and practices regarding sex have swung on a pendulum since – forever! A big subject for a short homily.

Saturday, July 19
Leland Place Ministry - Meet at the church at 4:45 with pot luck and take the meal to the men at Leland Place.

Sunday July 20
10:30 a.m. worship: What does friendship mean and how many friends do we really need? Rev. Henley “Will Your Friends Fit in a Phone Booth?”

Sunday, July 27
9:30 a.m. The Christian Prayer/Spirituality Covenant Group will meet in the second floor study.  The discussion will be on Lectio Divina.

10:30 a.m. worship: A homily on “Coping with Mental Illness.” Mental health issues have always been with us. Many of Jesus miracles of healing those with “demons” are believed to have been healings of mental illness. What happens when someone we love is diagnosed?

12:00 p.m. After hospitality there will be a second chance to participate in the June 1 class on “Universalism in the Gospels and Teachings of Jesus,” Second floor study.
