February Worship & Activity Schedule

Sunday, February 6
11 a.m. worship: "Troubled Times," a sermon by Rev. Henley exploring what some consider our current cultural malaise and how each of us as people of faith can embrace the challenges of the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century.

Tuesday, February 8
7 p.m. Board of Trustees monthly meeting. All are welcome to attend.

Sunday, February 13
11 a.m. worship: Building a beloved community -- what does that look like? Dave Gatton, our moderator, and Rev. Henley will collaborate on this exploration, which will lead us toward our church-wide retreat on February 26.

Sunday, February 20
11 a.m. worship: "War Healing as Peace Making" -- Unitarian Universalist Army chaplain Chris Antal draws from our shared history as Unitarian Universalists, personal narrative, and encounters with broken souls inside and outside our congregations. He is one of only four actively serving Army chaplains endorsed by the UUA.

Saturday, February 26
9:15 a.m. - 2 p.m.: "Creating a Beloved Community" - Leadership retreat for the entire congregation, in Perkins Hall. Lunch provided.

Sunday, February 27
11 a.m. worship: In this collaborative service, we will be celebrating Black History Month with readings, music, and  poetry.
