Now that fall is upon us, and we're back from vacation, finished moving, etc., let's see if we can re-start the Leland dinners.
We are scheduled to go this Saturday -- but it can't happen without you.
It's a great -- and delicious -- way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon, and the men receiving the meal surely appreciate this tangible sign of the community's support for their journey out of homelessness and addiction.
As per our practice, we will meet in the church kitchen at 2:30 with the goal of serving the meal at Leland, on North Capitol Street, shortly after 5 p.m. and returning to the church by 6:30. Please RSVP and let Dave Skidmore know if you can make it next Saturday -- September 17.
